Wideband Bi-Sector Array
TenXc’s Wideband Bi-Sector
Array is a new and innovative solution for 1710-2170 MHz band
networks for enhanced network capacity to deliver advanced
multimedia services. The Bi-Sector Array applies the principle of
paired asymmetric beams to higher order sectorization to increase
overall site capacity whilst maintaining optimal coverage. The
Wideband Bi-Sector Array matches the original 65º pattern with a new
asymmetric beam-pair contoured to optimize central overlap and edge
roll-off characteristics.
The Wideband Bi-Sector Array
incorporates the latest in adaptive array technology with a single
wideband panel supporting two sectors in a highly compact radome
design. Network site applications include the replacement of
existing 65º or 33º antennas, new capacity site builds, deferral of
carrier adds, and spectrum refarming in high demand or spectrum
limited markets.
Benefits
Increases spectral efficiency through beam shaping
Increases site capacity gains with higher order sectorization
Maximizes coverage in a standard tri-sector cell plan
Boosts network performance by lowering interference
Reduces antenna count
Minimizes installation and site upgrade costs
Features
Single panel design supporting two beams
Optimized asymmetrical Left-Hand (LH) and Right-Hand (RH) RF
Patterns
High gain antenna with two ports per LH and RH beam (4 RF ports per
panel)
Dual +45° and –45° cross-polarization
Applications
High-density markets with capacity/site constraints
Spectrum limited markets
Optimum site placement in border areas
Deferral of CDMA carrier adds
Spectrum clearing and refarming
Product Applications
Operating across the full 1710-2170 MHz frequency band, the TenXc
Wideband Bi-Sector Array is applicable to CDMA, GSM, and UMTS
networks. Network site applications include the replacement of
existing 65° or 33° antennas, new capacity site builds, deferral of
carrier adds, and spectrum refarming in high demand or spectrum
limited markets.
